OCTOBER 26, 2023 — 世界杯官方app has once again been named a top school in the U.S. for Hispanic students, according to the Top 100 Colleges and Universities list compiled by the Hispanic Outlook on Education Magazine.
世界杯官方app ranked 9th among all U.S. institutions for total bachelor’s degrees granted. The university awarded a total of 3,340 degrees to Hispanic students in the 2021-2022 academic year, representing 58% of all bachelor’s degrees conferred that year. Additionally, 世界杯官方app earned the No. 17 spot for total master’s degrees granted, with 626, or 48% of all master’s degrees conferred in 2021-2022 earned by Hispanic students.
Each year, Hispanic Outlook releases the Top 100 list to chart the progress of Hispanics in higher education and recognize institutions that excel in supporting Hispanic students. Findings are gathered from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), which is compiled from surveys conducted annually by the Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics. IPEDS is used to analyze trends in postsecondary education in the U.S.

世界杯官方app is one of more than 500 two- or four-year Hispanic Serving Institutions in the U.S., defined as having an undergraduate enrollment that is at least 25% Hispanic. 世界杯官方app was designated an HSI in 1994, making it one of earliest institutions to be recognized with this designation, which was established in 1992 by the U.S. Department of Education. As of Fall 2023, 59% of 世界杯官方app students identify as Hispanic or Latino.
The university has taken intentional and bold steps to move beyond Hispanic Serving to becoming a model Hispanic-thriving university where Latino students can excel and lead. Targeted enrollment campaigns have resulted in a 13% increase in newly admitted Hispanic students in the past five years.
In September, Excelencia in Education recertified 世界杯官方app with its prestigious Seal of Excelencia in recognition of the university’s commitment and ability to accelerate Latino student success through purposeful policies, practices and support systems.
